Disclaimer: Although this XCMD seems to work fine, it is distributed "as is". Use at your own risk. So there.
SetVolume sets the sound volume level to whatever you tell it. If you specify a number less than 0, it will set it to 0 (i.e. "off"). If you specify a number greater than 7, it will set it to 7 (the loudest setting). It does not appear that you can set the volume on A/UX machines other than through the Sound control panel, so SetVolume doesn't work.
The example stack also includes the GetVolume XFCN, which returns the current volume. I should probably just bundle these together...
